Dr Clint Churchyard

Dr Clint is the Principal GP at Mercato Medical Byron Bay, playing a leading role in shaping the clinic’s vision of high-quality, patient-centred care for the local community.

Originally from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Clint now proudly calls Byron Bay home. With extensive experience across metropolitan, regional, and remote NSW, he brings a well-rounded, practical approach to medicine — balancing prevention, performance, and long-term wellbeing.

Graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Sydney in 2013, Clint has worked across diverse medical settings, including elite sport. He has been involved with the Newcastle Knights NRL team and the NRL Head Injury Surveillance Unit, giving him strong expertise in sports medicine, injury management, and recovery.

Known for his calm, approachable nature, Clint takes the time to genuinely listen and understand each patient. He focuses on building long-term relationships and creating personalised health plans that support patients at every stage of life.

He has a strong interest in preventative and lifestyle-based medicine, helping patients stay well, not just treat illness. His approach aligns focuses on supporting active, balanced, and health-conscious living.
